Everyone's experienced a moment while flipping through a comic book that everything just seemed to come together. The art & story just seemed to convey raw emotion. Whether they be good or bad, let's post some of our favorite art moments in comic history! For me, nothing can compare to the feeling I got when I read The Authority for the first time: 1.bp.blogspot.com/_4irVuZamOhA/TCnrWirjt3I/AAAAAAAACHg/1zn_Z8cUbvQ/s1600/The+Authority+003.jpgI give Warren Ellis a lot of crap, but paired with Bryan Hitch I'm willing to forgive even the thinnest plot line.

One of my favorite comics of all time is Strangers in Paradise by Terry Moore. It ended a few years ago, with Terry moving on to create Echoe (which is supposed to be made into an HBO series I think?) but for me Strangers is still his masterpiece. There are so many moments coming together that really convey that "raw emotion" and affect the reader. I am choosing to make an example of the these 2 pages out of the last book because they got me choked up and the guy that sold me the book at the comic shop warned me I would: These are shitty photos I took with my phone...but GAH. It still effects me. David dies in his hospital bad as Katchoo waits by his side.. The look on her face when she walks away, stunned. ;___;

Laura, there's a Terry Moore "How to draw facial expressions" book that came out not too long ago that I really wanna check out. I've never checked out strangers in paradise, but the work he's put into expression is absolutely amazing. I dunno if you've seen it or picked it up.

I've always wanted to get into Strangers in Paradise. I think it's high time I get it on (after Ex Machina).
