Is anyone reading this? If so, am I missing something?

It's especially hammy, even for a megaseries targeted at people who don't know anything going on.

I enjoyed the moment, I believe it was in the first issue, when Spider-Man literally said, "Wow. Avengers vs X-Men is really happening!" Nothing like saying the title of the thing in the thing itself to make it feel hammy.

I hate that Marvel has suckered me into completionist mode, making me see this whole series out, even though it's given me little reason to really get excited about anything going on. (Especially with Romita Jr. art at every turn and panel.)
What's incredibly sad is that this whole thing apparently takes TWELVE WHOLE ISSUES to resolve.
I'm just going to throw this out there. Days of Future Past? Two issues. TWO. That's all i'm saying. I mean, we're dealing with Claremont dialogue balloons all over every page, but still.

I hate this book so much it's not even funny. The art and writing is terrible, none of the characters are likable. It's all about saving hope but she's a bitch! Captain America's actions are completely out of character. He's either a skrull or it's just plain poor writing. I'm guessing it falls under the later.

I know it can't always be about sitting down and playing poker, but these teams share a history. Members of one have been members of another. So far we've seen friend vs friend, son vs father, husband vs wife, stupid dude in metal armor vs dude who controls metal... It's frustrating that they can't figure this out, but the moment they stop fighting, the title becomes ironic.

So despite AvX #4 not understanding that Polar Bears live in the North Pole, not the South, i have to admit that it's leaps and bounds above it's previous issues, now that it appears to be actually getting to a point. It's actually made me mad that the book appears to be delayed another week to actually get to 5. (JR's art is still awful, though.) Attachments:

i think it's terrible. the art is mediocre. the story is dull, the action is dull. the dialogue is absolutely terrible.

It does boggle the mind how they can make this fight so boring...
